Pastor Willet

S. Scott Willet

Scott Willet, born in October 1960, was installed as the pastor of Redeemer OPC in August 2009. He arrived in Atlanta with 22 years of pastoral experience, the last ten as the pastor of the Staunton OPC in Staunton, VA.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1987 from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Scott was ordained in the PCA and spent his first three years in the ministry as the pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vincennes, Indiana. He served from 1990 to 1999 as the pastor of the Bible Presbyterian Church in Concord, NC. Further experience includes a fourteen-month internship as a prison chaplain at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman. He is a 1982 Civil Engineering graduate of Virginia Tech.

Scott was married in 1987, and the Lord has blessed him and his wife Sharon with three daughters.

You can reach our pastor during his normal office hours, Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Scott is committed  to biblical, expositional preaching, working chapter by chapter through a particular book of the Bible. His sermons are characterized by a satisfying depth of content, faithful explanation, and personal application. God has made him a gifted teacher and given him the tender heart of a pastor. Please read or listen to some of his recent sermons. Please feel free to call or email him with any further questions.
